Gomer Junior is proud to be part of GFM Education and we have yet to be inspected since becoming an Academy on 1 April 2017. Therefore, we do not have an Ofsted rating. When Gomer Junior, as a HCC school, was last inspected it was in November 2013; Gomer Junior were awarded ‘good’ in all categories. Since then, we have been on a journey to outstanding. Our school self -evaluation outlines our many strengths and these have been validated by our ‘in-house resident inspector’.
You can see our most recent Ofsted Data Dashboard by clicking on this link. This page expired in September 2016 but has been replaced with a DfE school comparison tool. You can use this tool to compare the performance information of Gomer Junior School with other schools. Additionally, you can benchmark our school against others in regards to expenditure and attendance. The DfE site covers a very similar set of data to the dashboard. Ofsted’s Parent View questionnaire results can be found by clicking on this link. OFSTED are always keen to hear parent/carer views, not only when they are inspecting schools. If you can spare 10 minutes please visit https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/parent-view-results/survey/result/11946/current to look at the current parent/carer feedback about Gomer. If you have yet to leave feedback this year, please do so. We are naturally delighted with the overwhelmingly positive feedback we have received. Go Gomer!
