Hosanna Rock Update

Your child came home with a letter this week for you to book tickets for the production. Thank you to everyone who has already replied and sent in a donation – this is very much appreciated and supports the funding of such activities.   The children continue to be busy rehearsing for our Christmas production of ‘Hosanna Rock’. This is an exciting musical version of the Nativity Story where all the children will participate. They are sounding superb.

The performances will take place as follows:

Wednesday 9 December   13:45 and 18:00 –  Red and Blue House Pupils – both performances
Thursday 10 December     13:45 and 18:00 –  Green and Yellow House Pupils – both performances

For the evening performances, children will need to arrive to at 5.45pm, already changed into their costume (will we have it sent home after their matinee performance), and enter the school via the Y3 corridor. The children will be based in the lower school classrooms. Children will be dismissed from those doors too (6.45pm expected time) if you are not watching the evening performance.  If you are watching the evening performance, your child will be dismissed from the hall, in their costume.

The productions are more memorable if all pupils are in costume which we need your help to supply. Please send costumes into school on Wednesday 2 December – please not before due to space being limited in school. The year groups have been organised as follows:

• Class 3LW  =  Cows (Masks and dark clothing)
• Class 3KG  =  Sheep (Masks and light clothing)
• Class 4PM  =  Donkeys (Mask and dark clothing)
• Class 4DF  =  Innkeepers (Old style clothing – cloth caps etc.)
• Year 5     =  Angels (White with tinsel – No wings please)
• Year 6     =  Colours of the rainbow (Plain coloured t-shirts and trousers/skirts)

If your child has been chosen for the parts of Mary or Joseph, shepherds or kings they will need to be provided with an appropriate costume.
